Terms of use

How to use our website and what to expect from its information and submission features.

Effective date: October 21, 2026

About these terms

These terms govern the Georgia Kickstart Fund website and its online program information and submission features. “Kickstart,” “we,” and “us” refer to Georgia Kickstart Fund. Please read these terms before using the site or submitting information. If you do not agree, do not use the submission features.

Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. Optional text messages are also covered by our SMS Messaging Policy. A separately accepted grant agreement or other written agreement controls if it conflicts with these website terms on the same subject.

Audience and program eligibility

This website and program are intended for the University of Georgia student entrepreneurship community based in Georgia, United States. Our program serves this community and is not offered to the general public outside it. The website remains publicly accessible, including to members of our community while traveling.

Access from another state or country does not expand program eligibility. Eligibility is described on our Apply page. Access to the site does not establish eligibility for a grant or guarantee a review, award, particular amount, or response time.

You must have authority to submit information for yourself and your company. If you cannot legally enter an agreement on your own, involve a parent, guardian, or other authorized representative before entering one. The site is not directed to children under 13.

Applications and information you provide

Provide accurate information, obtain permission before sharing another person’s information, and tell us about material corrections. Do not submit unlawful material, someone else’s confidential information without authority, passwords, government identification numbers, or bank credentials.

You retain ownership of your original materials. You authorize us and the providers supporting our program to store, review, and use your submissions for application evaluation, grant administration, founder support, communications, and program assessment as described in our Privacy Policy. This permission does not transfer ownership of your company or intellectual property.

Submitting material does not create a nondisclosure agreement. Share only the information reasonably needed for review and contact us before providing trade secrets or especially sensitive material. Keep company-specific pitch links private; they can provide access to update your company’s record.

Acceptable use and site content

Use the site lawfully. Do not impersonate others, submit fraudulent applications, introduce malicious software, interfere with the site, bypass access controls, or access or change records without authorization.

You may view and share links to public pages for personal, educational, and legitimate program-related purposes. Our branding, website materials, and other protected content remain the property of their respective owners. Do not use our name or logo to imply an endorsement or affiliation without permission. Links to or descriptions of companies do not imply a guarantee or endorsement of their products.

Grants and informational content

Grant decisions depend on eligibility, review, available resources, and applicable program requirements. An application is not an award. Any award is subject to its written conditions. Published grant ranges, processes, and estimated timelines may change; an existing signed agreement is not changed simply by updating this site.

Website content is general information, not personalized legal, tax, accounting, or investment advice. It is not an offer to sell securities or a solicitation to invest. Company outcomes and past grants do not predict future results.

Forms, links, and communications

Some features use other services, including Notion and Fillout, and some links lead to other websites. Their terms and privacy practices also apply to their services. We do not control their availability or the content of external websites.

Providing contact details for an application allows us to respond about that application. It does not automatically enroll you in recurring SMS messages. SMS participation is optional and requires the separate consent described in our SMS Messaging Policy.

Availability and responsibility

We aim to keep the site useful and accurate, but errors, interruptions, and delays can occur. To the extent permitted by law, the site and its general information are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted service, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.

To the extent permitted by law, Kickstart is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of, or inability to use, this website. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. We may restrict misuse or suspend features for maintenance, security, or legal reasons.

Applicable law and updates

These terms are governed by Georgia law and applicable United States federal law, except where another law or right must apply. Our intended-audience statement does not waive mandatory privacy, consumer, or other legal rights or obligations.

We may update these terms and will post the effective date here. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent for a material change. A website update does not retroactively create SMS consent. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
